The answer is B) 2x + y - 3 = 0

In order to get this, start with the original equation and then subtract the parts from the right side.

2x + 4y + 2 = 3y + 5 ----> Subtract 3y from both sides

2x + y + 2 = 5 ----> subtract 5 from both sides

2x + y - 3 = 0

The general form is given by:

Ax + By=C

Our equation is 2x+4y+2=3y+5

bringing 3y to the left side and 2 to the right side

2x+4y-3y =5-2

2x+y =3

So general form is 2x+y=3
