Answer:-

0.3 moles

Explanation:-

According to the question,

Volume of nitrogen gas V = 6.8 litres.

Pressure of nitrogen gas P = 100 kPa.

Temperature of nitrogen gas T = 273 K.

We know the value of universal gas constant R = 8.314 litres kPa K−1 mol−1

Using the relation

PV = nRT

We have Number of moles of nitrogen gas n = P V / RT

= 100 kPa x 6.8 litres / ( 8.314 litres kPa K−1 mol−1 x 273 K)

= 0.3 mol

Thus there are 0.3 moles of nitrogen gas in 6.8 liters at standard temperature and pressure (273 K and 100 kPa)
