Hey...here is the answer to ur question.....
Given:PQ||BC
AP=8
AQ=11
QC=18
PB=x
To find :x
Solution: since,PQ||BC
=>AP/PB=AQ/QC (B.P.T)
=>8/x=12/18
=>144=12x
=>12=x

18/12 = x/8
12x = 8 * 18
x = 8 * 1.5
x = 12
