we are given

y= x^2 + 6x - 5

Firstly ,we can find equation in vertex form

so, we will complete x square

y= x^2 + 6x+3^2-3^2 - 5

y= (x+3)^2-3^2 - 5

y= (x+3)^2-14

now, we can compare it with vertex form of equation

y= (x-h)^2+k

we can find h and k

h=-3 , k=-14

so, vertex is

(h,k)=(-3,-14).............Answer
