3x-6+2x+4=58
=>5x-2=58
=>5x=58+2
=>5x=60
=>x=60/5
=>x=12

AC + BC = AB

3x-6+2x+4=58

5x-2=58

5x=58+2

5x=60 where x=60/5

x=12
