If a dilation centered at the origin is applied to the line y = 3x + 5, then the resulting dilation will produce an image of the same slope as the original line but of different y-intercept. If the dilation is greater than 1, the image will move further away from the origin. If the dilation is less than 1, the opposite will be true.
