This is an equation in the second edition “dynamics of flight” book. I am trying to figure out the equation. I know that v=velocity, but I’m not sure about what P is. Either dynamic pressure, or some Greek letter standing for something else.

dynamic pressure formula is


P=(1)/(2) \rho v^2


\rho = rho

that is density

P is pressure

v is velocity
