Velocity of fluid in the pipe=6.37 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

radius of pipe= 2 cm= 0.02 m

The flow rate is given by Q = a v

Q= flow rate = 0.008 m³/s

a= area= πr²

a=π(0.02)²= 1.256 x 10⁻³ m²

so 0.008 = 1.256 x 10⁻³ (v)

v=6.37 m/s

The average fluid velocity in the pipe can be obtained by dividing the flow rate of the liquid by the cross-sectional area of the pipe.

Av velocity = Flow rate/Cross-sectional area

Given, flow rate of the liquid = 0.008 m³/s

Cross-sectional area =
\pi Radius^(2) , radius of the pipe is 0.02 m.

Substituting the values we get,

Av velocity=
(0.008)/((22)/(7)*(0.02)^(2))

= 6.36 m/s

Average velocity of the fluid is 6.36 m/s.
