Aisy works at an ice-cream parlor. She is paid $10 per hour for the first 8 hours she works in a day. For every extra hour she works, she is paid 1.5 times her hourly wage. So first you would do 10 x 1.5 to find how much money Daisy gets paid after working for more than 8 hours.

10 x 1.5 = 15

She gets paid $15/hour after working for 8 hours

If Daisy works for 13 hours then all you have to do is do, 13-8 = 5

8 x 10 = $80 and then those 5 extra hours she worked, she earned $15/hour

15 x 5 = $75

$80 + $75 = $155
