*Giving all the points I have on this one!! Please! What is the approximate area of the unshaded region under the standard normal curve below? Use the portion of the standard normal table given to help answer the questions. See photo’s attached.

If you know it for sure you can rack up some points because I asked it 3 times!

Use these facts to count the approximate area of the unshaded region:

1.
Pr(Z\le 1)=0.8413 (from the table);

2.
Pr(Z\ge 1)=1-Pr(Z\le 1)=1-0.8413=0.1587;

3.
Pr(Z\le -2)=Pr(Z\ge 2);

4.
Pr(Z\le 2)=0.9772 (from the table);

5.
Pr(Z\ge 2)=1-Pr(Z\le 2)=1-0.9772=0.0228;

6.
Pr(Z\le -2)=0.0228.

Then the approximate area of the unshaded region is
A=0.0228+0.1587=0.1815.

Answer: correct choice is C.
