Is sin x=0.7, what is the value of x? explain the steps to find x using a scientific calculator

If sin x = 0.7, then you should use the trigonometric inverse:

x = sin^-1 (0.7)

On a graphing calculator, you press 2nd and then sin to get sin^-1.

To find x, we multiply 0.7 by the arcsine with a scientific calculator as shown below.


sinx^(-1) (0.7)≈44.43

Therefore, x≈44.43
