First find the area of one triangle using Heron's formula:

`A=√(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))`

where:

`s=(a+b+c)/(2)=(9+28+35)/(2)=(72)/(2)=36`

Thus

`A=√(36(36-9)(36-28)(36-35))`

`A=√(36(27)(8)(1))`

`A=√(7776)=88.18`

Then the total area is:

`A_(total)=88.18 * 16 = 1410.88`

and the total costs is:

`C=A * r`

`C=1410.88cm^(2) * (50p)/(cm^(2))`
