Lateral Area means Area of all four triangles

Now area of 1 triangle =
(√(3))/(4) a^2 = (√(3))/(4) 8^2

=
(√(3))/(4) * 64 = 16√(3) square meters

Now for four triangles we multiply by 4

So

Lateral area of pyramid =
4* 16√(3) = 64√(3) m^2

that is Option D
