So first I would add 19x to both sides to simplify so you get 22x-8=7. Then to get rid of the -8, you would add 8 to both sides: 22x=15. Then you would divide both sides by 22 to get x by itself. So the answer would be x=15/22. This would be kept in fraction form because the decimal is very long. You might want to check that you typed the question correctly though, it is an odd number to have as an answer.

3x - 8 = -19x + 7

Add 8 to both sides.

3x = -19x + 15

Add 19x to both sides.

22x = 15

Divide both sides by 22.

x = 15/22
