(x^(1)/(2) )/(x^(2)/(7))

According to the rule of exponents
(a^m)/(a^n) = a^((m-n)) , i.e. when two terms are in division with same base , we subtract the exponents

So

(x^(1)/(2) )/(x^(2)/(7)) = x^{((1)/(2)) - ((2)/(7))}

=x^(3)/(14)

Or

x to the 3 fourteenths power
