Hey!

ANSWER:
6 over 12 {not simplified}
1 over 2 {simplified}

HOW TO SOLVE:
Okay, first let's make a short list of what we know based on the information provided by the problem.

Total Number of Ducks – 12

Number of Ducks With Green Wings – 6

Number of Ducks With Blue Wings – 6

Now using the information we have gathered, let's create some fractions to determine how many blue winged ducks there are out of twelve, and how many green winged ducks there are out of twelve.

Blue Winged Ducks of Total Number of Ducks:
6 over 12

Green Winged Ducks of Total Number of Ducks:
6 over 12

Now that we have our factions made up, we know know that the fraction of number of green winged ducks to total number of ducks is 6 over 12, or 1 over 2 if you'd like that fraction simplified.

Hope this helps.

Hey!

There are 12 ducks swimming. 6 of them have green wings.

Green to all is: 6 to 12

Change 6 to 12 to a fraction:

6\ to\ 12 = (6)/(12)

You can simplify 6/12.

(6 / 6)/(12 / 6) \rightarrow (1)/(2)

That means your answer is
(1)/(2)

Hope this helps! :)
