So remember that the perimeter is the sum of all the sides, and a rectangle is a quadrilateral, or four-sided polygon. Since we know that 2 of the sides is 91 yds and the perimeter is 338 yds, we can solve for the width. Our equation will look like this (let w = width):
2(91)+2(w)=338

Firstly, do the multiplications:
182+2w=338

Next, subtract 182 on both sides:
2w=156

Next, divide both sides by 2, and your answer will be w = 78 yds.

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

l is length and b is width

we are given perimeter =338 yards and width =99 yards

plugging them in the equation we get

338=2(91+b)

169=91+b

b=78 yards is the width
