The translation would be (x-5,y+3) .. From coordinate 7 on the x-axis it went down 5 in order for it to be at 2 & for the coordinate on the y axis it went up 3 in order to get to 8

The translation is x-5,y+3.

This is because, between P and P', the x coordinate lost 5 and the y coordinate gained 3.

The number that belongs in the green box is 5.
