in a sample of 10 cards, 4 are red and 6 are blue. if 2 cards are selected at random from the sample, one at a time without replacement, what is the probability that both cards are not blue?

If we want to find the probability that both cards are NOT blue, then we are basically finding the probability that both cards are red:

4/10 * 3/9 = 2/15

We did 3/9 because we already took away one red, which we did not replace.

So, the answer is 2/15.
