The volume formula for a cylinder is V = pi r^2 * h

First we need to find the radius:

132 pi = pi r^2 * 4

r = about 5.74

Then to find the area of the base you use A = pi * r^2

:)))The area of the base is 33 pi square feet

Answer:

area of the base = 33 pi square feet

Explanation:

cylinder has a volume of 132 pi cubic feet and height of 4 feet

Volume of a cylinder =
\pi r^2 h

Area of the base is pi r^2

Volume of a cylinder = area of the base * height

132\pi = base  \  area * 4

Divide by 4 on both sides

33\pi = base  \  area

So area of the base = 33 pi square feet
