Look at the two triangles.

One side of each triangle has a single small mark. Those two sides are congruent.

Another side of each triangle has 2 marks. Those two sides are congruent.

Finally, the third side of each triangle has 3 marks. Those two sides are congruent.

You have three sides of one triangle congruent to three sides of the other triangle. That is exactly what SSS stands for.

Therefore, by SSS the two triangles are congruent.

Answer: Second choice, SSS.

P.S. Don't be fooled by the figures and the way the triangles look different from each other. In Geometry, we go by the given information, not by the look of the figures.

Remark

They should be. The markings show that you have 3 sides of one triangle equal to three sides of another triangle. That means that the 2 triangles should be congruent by SSS.
