The formula is:
SA = s2 + 2 × s × l where s is the base side pf the piramid which is 4, and "l" is the slant hight pf the piramid the imaginary line from the tip of the piramid going perpendicular on the piramid square surface.
SA = 4^2 + 2x4x3,60
SA = 44,8

SA is the Surface Area

Surface area of the base = 4^2 = 16 units^2.

Area of each triangular side = 1/2 * 4 * 3 = 6 unts^2

Total surface area of the pyramid = 16 + 4 * 6 = 40 unit^2 (answer)
