No. Removing the parentheses would change the order of operations here:

(20+4) * 14 - 7

which is very different from (20+4)×(14-7).

Hey there!

WITH parentheses ↓

(20 + 4) * (14 - 7) \\ 20 + 4 \\ 24 (14 -7) \\ 14 - 7 = 7 \\ 24(7) \\ \\ = 168

WITHOUT parentheses ↓

20 + 4(14) -7 \\ 4(14) = 56 \\ 20 + 56 - 7 \\ 20 + 56= 76 \\ 76 - 7 \\ \\ = 69

Answer WITH parentheses:
168

Answer WITHOUT parentheses:
69 ← this would most likely be your result for this question since you're asking what would the solution be if the parentheses were to be
removed

By the way, it will look like this without the parentheses:
20+4 * 14 - 7

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
