6y-2y(x+1)

6y-2xy-2y

Combine like terms

4y-2xy which is as the same as -2xy+4y, which means that it is choice B and you are correct

45) To solve, Distribute -2y to both x and 1

-2y(x) = -2yx

-2y(1) = -2y

6y - 2y - 2yx

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Simplify the expression. Combine like terms

(6y - 2y) - 2yx

4y - 2yx

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4y - 2yx, or (B), is your answer

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hope this helps
