Okay, here is the answer to this. We do not have to do the whole shape in order to find the area. We can find the area to each shape and then add up them up to find the area of the kite. You can see that the if you were to cut in half left to right you would have the same shapes, meaning that I would only need to find the area of the upper half in order to get the area of the one under. The formula to the area of a traingle Area = 0.5bh. Let's get this started:

0.5 * 13.8m * 9.2m = 63.48 m^2

0.5 * 6.9m * 9.2m = 31.74 m^2

Now since we found the area of those two triangles we can add them up:

63.48 m^2 + 31.74 m^2 = 95.22 m^2

Now since we have the upper half, let's multiply it by two to get the whole area:

95.22 m^2 * 2 = 190.44 m^2

So the answer is B, 190.44 m^2.

Hello!

As this is a symmetrical figure, and the triangles are reflected, we will not use the 1/2 in the formula and just calculate the top two squares.

9.2(13.8)=126.96

6.9(9.2)=63.48

Now we add our values

126.96+63.48=190.44

Therefore, our answer is B) 190.44 m²

I hope this helps!
