President Lyndon B. Johnson assumes the presidency of the United States on November 22, 1963. After the death of John Kennedy.

The great society was a policy that had the following objectives:

2) Reduce crime to its smallest expression.

3) Improve the environment

4) End inequality.

Other important events include programs for education, medical attention, transportation, among others.

Some of these programs that were initiated since the presidency of Lyndon B. Johnson, continue to the present.
