We use the formula
\sqrt{(5 + 6)^(2) + (0 + 2)^(2)} = √(121 + 4) = √(125)≈ 11.18;

\sqrt{(x2 - x1) ^(2) + (y2 - y1) ^(2) }
x2=0
x1=-2
y2=5
y1=-6

\sqrt{(0 - (- 2)) ^(2) + (5- ( - 6) ^(2) }

\sqrt{(0 + 2) ^(2) + (5 + 6) ^(2) }

\sqrt{(2) ^(2) + (11) ^(2) }

√((4) + (121) )

√(125)
