How did the Conference of Berlin in 1878 affect the territories of Eastern Europe?

Serbia, Romania, and Montenegro gained full independence.

The Danube River was opened up for shipping to all nations.

The Ottoman Empire regained much of its lost territories.

Russia was able to continue its expansion into Europe.

The Congress made several changes that had favored some countries to have their territories. Other lost some of the territories they conquered before Ottoman Empire). The Congress wanted peace to set-in and justly divide all the territories. But this did not end as they expected. Countries that have fewer areas than they had before were affected by the decision and were dissatisfied with the results. This pushed to Balkan wars. hope this helps
