Recently I solved a question here, providing the same formula. So yes AB side equals 9,43 :)

The Pythagorean Theoerm formula is a^2 + b^2 = C^2, where a and b are the sides and c is the hypotenuse.

The formula to find the hypotenuse for the triangle shown would be:

5^2 + 8^2 = c^2
