How would the equilibrium of an exothermic reaction at 25°c be affected if the temperature of the system were reduced? (hint: apply le chatelier's principle)?

Answer:-

Equilibrium shifts towards the reactants.

Explanation:-

An exothermic reaction means energy is released. Since energy gets released the temperature increases.

A --> B + temperature increase due to energy release

For an exothermic reaction, thus temperature increase is like a product of the reaction.

Now if the temperature of the system is reduced, then as per le chatelier priniple the equilibrium shifts towards the reactants.
