So there is two ways for me to answer this question and so I shall give u my personal belief. But if you would like I can give you both, the 2nd set of answers may agree more with your textbook

Creationist Version 1. The Moon is a small planet with no atmosphere that orbits planet Earth and is Earth's only permanent natural satellite. The moon is known as the light that rules the night and it appears as if it regularly changes shape.

2.There are many, many varying ideas on how and when the moon formed, but no man is still alive that was there at the time. So we rely on the witness of One who was there and who has revealed the truth in Genesis 1:14–19: 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:‘15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.‘16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also …

3. What scienetists have discoverd to day is the the crust of the Moon is composed mostly of oxygen, silicon, magnesium, iron, calcium, and aluminum. There are also trace elements like titanium, uranium, thorium, potassium and hydrogen.

4. All of the circles and dot we see on the Moon are impact craters. The Moon's surface has many craters, almost all of which were formed by impacts. This is because unlike Earth, the Moon has no atmosphere so it has almost no erosion. That means it has no wind, it has no weather, and it certainly has no plants. Almost nothing can remove marks on its surface once they are made.

5. One characteristic is Maria: The maria are the moon's dark regions. "Maria" is Latin for "seas" (the singular is "mare"). The only problem with this is that the maria do not or ever did contain water. Instead, they are the remnants of lava flows on the moon's surface. Another one of the three main characteristics of the moons surface is the Highlands: The moon's highlands are older mountainous regions. They are light in contrast to the moon's maria and the highlands also have many craters. This implies that the highlands are part of an old landform on the moon's surface.

6.The moon orbits the earth roughly once a month causing regular phases in a 29½ day cycle and a important thing to know is that the moon always keeps the same face towards the earth. And this is roughly its current Orbital angular momentum 2.68 x 1034 kg m2/s (82.9% of earth-moon system)

7. Roughly every 29 days the moon will complete a full cycle going from completely gone to full and then back again. (Add additional data here)

8. Like the Earth, the moon has a crust, a mantle, and core. Deep inside of its interior the moon may have a solid iron core surrounded by a softer, somewhat molten liquid iron outer core. The outer core may extend as far out as 310 miles (500 km). But this much smaller inner core only makes up about 20% of the whole moon, compared to the 50 percent core of other rocky bodies.

9. Earth and the moon are so similar in composition, and both of them have a inner core most likely created out of the same material.
