Determine the equation of a line passing through the point (4,2) with a slope 0.

Please with the equation and how you got your answer

You can use the point-slope form of a line to do this, but because there is zero slope, that's like using a chainsaw to cut a piece of paper.


Lines with zero slope are horizontal and the only thing that changes is the x-coordinate. The y-coordinate stays the same no matter what. Our y coordinate above is 2, and we report that as our equation of the line.


The equation is y = 2.
