First, we turn the denominators into 15, like this:

(-12)/(15) + (7)/(15)

And we get
(-5)/(15).

Then we just simplify, and the answer is: -1/3

Hope this helped! c:

We must make the fractions have common denominators, which in this case is 15.

-4 / 5 = -12 / 15

So, -4/5 + 7/15 can be rewritten as

-12 / 15 + 7 / 15 and the answer is:

-5 / 15 which equals

-1 / 3
