+,+ = + \\ \\ -.-= + \\ \\ +,- = - \\ \\ -,+ = -



negatives = left \\ \\ \\ positives = right


Sometimes this method isn't always accurate, just to let you know!


Since we have
double
negatives we already know that our result is going to be a
negative because the parentheses made it that way!


So,
-10 + (-10) = -20


Your answer
-20

Hey!


When 2 negative numbers are added together, the answer is negative. Add the 2 numbers, and make sure your answer is negative.



10 + 10 = 20


Remember that the answer is negative. Add the negative sign. Now it becomes:



20 \rightarrow -20


That means your answer is -20
