Let there are x men and y women.

there were total 130 faculty

so x+y=130...............(1)

If there were 18 more women than men ,

then x+18=y.............(2)

plugging value of y from equation (2) in equation (1)

x+x+18=130

2x=112

x=55

y=x+18=55+18=73

so there are 55 men and 73 women
