Explanation:

(2x+4)=-4(-2x-6)

distribute -4 to (-2x-6) by multiplying

negative multiplied by a negative is a positive

8x+24=2x+4

subtract 24 from each side

8x=2x-20

subtract 2x from each side 6x=-20

divide both sides by 6

-20/6

simply to -10/3 or -3 1/3 or -3.3

x=-10/3
