4x + 8y = 32

To find the x-intercept, replace y with 0.

4x + 8(0) = 32

Then simplify to find x.

4x = 32

4x/4 = 32/4

x = 8

To find the y-intercept, replace x with 0.

4(0) + 8y = 32

Then simplify to find y.

8y = 32

8y/8 = 32/8

y = 4

x-intercept = (8, 0)

y-intercept = (0, 4)
