First we need to find the equation of line .

Here the line passing through (0,-1) and (-1,1). So the y intercept is -1 here.

Now we need to find the slope , m.

m = (1-(-1))/(-1-0) = (2)/(-1)=-2

So we have slope, m =-2 and y intercept , b=-1

And the slope intercept form is y=mx+b.

Substituting the values of m and b,

y=-2x -1

Here point (0,0) is a part of the shaded region.

It means point (0,0) must satisfy the inequality.

Let's plug point (0,0) in the equation

0=-1 and 0 is greater then -1. So the inequality have to be

y>-2x-1 .
