In a genetics experiment on peas, one sample of offspring contained 417 green peas and 42 yellow peas. based on those results, estimate the probability of getting an offspring pea that is green. is the result reasonably close to the value of three fourths that was expected?

The number of green peas is 417 and the number of yellow peas is 42. The phenotypic ratio is approximately 10:1. The dominant color of pea is yellow which is denoted by Y and the recessive color is green dominated by y. The possbile self-cross that can lead to such a ratio does not exist as more of the recessive type green color is seen.
