Two lines perpendicular to each other having slopes m1 and m2 are related as:
m1 * m2=-1 ...................... (1)
First we find slope m1 of the line y=7/5x-3/5
comparing this equation with slope intercept form y=mx+b,
slope m1=7/5
NOw using rule (1) here to get value of m2
7/5 * m2 =-1
m2 =-5/7...................(2)
Now the line passes through (-4,3) and has slope m2 =-5/7
we use slope intercept form to get the value of y intercept
y=mx+b
3=(-5/7)(-4) +b
3=2.86 +b
b=0.14
At last we plug the value of b and m in slope intercept form to get the final equation as :
y=(-5/7) x + 0.14
