Hi!

Let's find the square root of 9/36.

First, find the square root of 9.

To do that, factorize it.

9/3 = 3

3/3 = 1

3 * 3 = 9

The square root of 9 is 3.

Now find the square root of 36.

36/2 = 18

18/2 = 9

9/3 = 3

3/3 = 1

2 * 2 * 3 * 3 = 36

You could also write this as...

2 * 3 * 2 * 3 = 36

Solve part of it and you get...

6 * 6 = 36

The square root of 36 is 6.

The answer is 3/6, but simplified it's 1/2.

Hope this helps! :)

\sqrt{(9)/(36)}=(\sqrt9)/(√(36))=(√(3^2))/(√(6^2))=(3)/(6)=(3:3)/(6:3)=(1)/(2)\\\\\text{Used:}\\\\\sqrt{(a)/(b)}=(√(a))/(√(b))\\\\√(a^2)=a

\text{Other method}\\\\\text{simplify}\ (9)/(36)=(9:9)/(36:9)=(1)/(4)\\\\\sqrt{(9)/(36)}=\sqrt{(1)/(4)}=(\sqrt1)/(\sqrt4)=(1)/(2)
