The order of PEMDAS is where you are going to solve the problem. Since your problem does not have any Parentheses or Exponents, we skip steps P and E.

2 x 4 ÷ 3 + 5 has multiplication and division in it, but 2 x 4 is before 4 ÷ 3 so we’ll multiply those first to get 8.


Now it is 8 ÷ 3 + 5. Divide 8 by 3 and on a calculator you should get 2.67. Lastly, add 2.67 and 5 to get your answer of 7.67 .
