On this one I am just going to do the problems and not write "Answer: whatever" at the end. It's your job to read and understand what I wrote and extract the answer from it.

2 \frac 3 4 \text{ cups} * \frac{1 \textrm{ dumpling}}{ \frac 3 {16} \textrm{ cup}} = (11)/(4) * (16)/(3) = (44)/(3) = 14 \frac 2 3 \textrm{ dumplings}

We're asked for how many whole dumplings, so that's 14.

x + 8.63 = 11.001

x = 11.001 - 8.63 = 2.371

\text{area} = \textrm{base} * \textrm{height} = 5 \frac 1 4 * 4 \frac 1 5 = \frac {21}{4} * (21)/(5) = (441)/(20) \textrm{ sq in} = 22 \frac 1 {20} \textrm{ sq in}
