Because the line P is perpendicular to (makes a right angle with) M, it is also perpendicular to L since they are parallel.

The measure of a line is 180 so
180 = 90 + 6y
90 = 6y
15 = y.

For x, the measure of all the angles in a quadrilateral must add to 360. So

360 = 90 + 90 + 100 + x
360 = 280 + x
80 = x
