I work in the health care field, and Medicare is some of the hardest claims to file.
Medicare and Medicaid are similar in ways, but there is a big difference. Most of the time Medicaid is giving to children (as state assistance), pregnant women to help cover the cost, low-income families, or children/adults with certain disabilities, but there is normally a cut off age for Medicaid.
Medicare is normally aimed towards your older generation such as ones who have retired, on SSI, or even have a certain disability. If you are 65 years and older you can qualify for Medicare, and your income does not matter in this sense because it is a federal aimed program.
Medicaid is not only federal, but it is also sate, so income plays a factor here.
