my guess is you need to know what part d is worth, but you didn't ask a question so that is simply a guess.

If there are 11 points, then add to see how many are missing if there is only one part without a worth.

2+3+6=11.

Therefore, the teacher screwed up and you don't have to do part d because there is no value to it.
