List and describe the major sections contained in most state constitutions. (e.g., federalism, separation of powers, individual rights,etc.).

Most state constitutions consist of a section on individual rights and liberties. These are the individual freedoms such as the right to life, speech and freedom of worship. They also contain a section on separation of powers which recognizes the three branches of government in the state. Federalism recognizes the federal system of government.
