To find the value of the angle x, you need to use the Law of Sines. The Law of Sines states, sin A / a = sin B / b = sin C / c.


We are given sin A = 42 degrees, side a = 22 cm, and side b = 12 cm. We can change x, to angle B in this case.


sin (42) / 22 = sin B / 12 (multiply both sides by 12)

12 sin (42) / 22 = sin B

sin^-1 B = 12 sin (42) / 22

sin B = 21.4063..


The measure of angle x is equal to about 21.4 degrees.
