Solution :

Here we have been given with a bulb whose voltage is of 220V and it allows 10A current to flow from it.

(Remember that A is Ampere and it's the unit of current and V is volt it is the unit of voltage)

  • V = 220V
  • I = 10A
  • R = ?

We have to calculate the resistance. So we would use Ohm's law.

As we know that,

  • V = IR

here,

  • V is voltage
  • I is current
  • R is Resistance

Substituting the values,

=> 220 = 10R

=> 220 = 10 × R

=> R = 220/10

=> R = 22 / 1

=> R = 22

Resistance is measured in ohms and it's symbol is Ω.

Therefore,

  • Resistance is of 22Ω

Resistance can be calculated by Ohm's law

As per ohm's law we will have

V = i * R

here we will have

voltage = 220 volts

current = 10 A

So by the above formula we will have

220 = 10* R

R = 22 ohm

So resistance of the bulb is 22 ohm.
