There are several types of pharmacy:

community pharmacy

hospital pharmacy

clinical pharmacy

industrial pharmacy

compounding pharmacy

consulting pharmacy

ambulatory care pharmacy

regulatory pharmacy

home care pharmacy

About the favorite type of pharmacy, let's choose industrial pharmacy:

The pharmaceutical industry is a very important industry in the world. It includes pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, and FDA.

The pharmaceutical industry manages the development, production, placing on the market and monitoring of all marketed drugs. The pharmaceutical industry concerns both drugs for men and those for animals.

For the three differences, let's compare it to the clinical pharmacy:

Clinical pharmacy is practiced at the level of clinics and hospitals, at the bedside of the patient, whereas the industrial pharmacy is practiced in different places, essentially at the level of the industries.

The industrial pharmacy could be an innovative way to develop new drugs, this is not the case for clinical pharmacies.

Industrial pharmacy is close to trade and marketing, while clinical pharmacy is a field that is closer to clinical medicine.

For the similarities let's compare again clinical and industrial pharmacy:

Clinical and industrial pharmacy revolves around drugs (whether their production or their uses)

The clinical and industrial pharmacist has a role of controller of the good flow of the processes (for example for the clinical pharmacist takes care with the least possible side effect, and the industrial pharmacy ensures the proper course of the production of the drugs ).

Clinical and industrial pharmacists want good patient care and satisfaction.
